This paper has three major objectives. The first is to demonstrate that a sustained fertility transition has begun in Nigeria. The second is to identify some factors that might have contributed to the decline and the third objective is to argue in favor of further declines in fertility and propose a level of fertility by the time the fertility transition is completed [как думаете? можно ли предвидеть это?].
