Launch of the EPF Survey on Knowledge and Attitudes of Young People on Contraception in Europe

28th September 2022 13:00 to 14:30 European Parliament - ASP 5 G 305

Dear Colleagues,

On the occasion of World Contraception Day 2022, the European Parliamentary Forum on Sexual and Reproductive Rights and MEPs for Sexual and Reproductive Rights would like to invite you to the Launch of the EPF Survey on Knowledge and Attitudes of Young People on Contraception in Europe.

About the event:

Access to contraception remains a challenge for young adults in many countries in Europe. While policies on access to contraception have already been studied extensively, little is known about the perspective of young people in Europe on contraceptives. Therefore, throughout the summer EPF has conducted an encompassing study covering 46 countries of the European continent on the young people’s awareness about contraception. Around 3000 young respondents answered the questionnaire, which looked into issues such as:
· What is the knowledge and the attitudes of European young people about contraception?
· What contraceptive methods are European young people using?
· What are the (perceived) barriers in accessing contraception in European countries
· Does this differ across countries, regions, sex, gender, age, educational status and socio-economic status?

To learn about the results of the Study we invite you to join us at the European Parliament:
