American Aging

Lecture
Aging in the U.S.: What Does Being Old Really Mean?
with William Hills, Professor, Coastal University, Fulbright Scholar

Dr. William Hills,
Professor of Gerontology, Coastal University
Aging issues have become hot topics in the U.S. for scientists, politicians and the media.
More people are living longer lives and older adults are becoming a relatively large percentage of the population in various countries. Aging processes are affecting the way we live our lives, yet there are still problems with pension reform, lack of education and preparedness for health care management of chronic illnesses, and intergenerational tensions.
This exciting presentation will address aging issues - what is aging successfully? why does this matter?

Dr. Hills is currently in Moscow as a Fulbright scholar.
